Countess of Rosslyn's Italian lover

THE WORKSHOP
Lot 1512 at Sotheby’s sale of the Ken Paul Collection in March was the skeleton of the Italian lover of the Countess of Rosslyn, contained within an inlaid mahogany longcase clock. The estimate was 15,000 - 25,000 GBP, but the item sold for 35,000.  The clock had featured as a prop in countless feature films.  The buyer was an old friend of mine, and I promise that the Countess of Rosslyn's Italian lover couldn’t have gone to a better home.
